When you got a band full of amazing songs, it is very difficult to find the time to search for those hidden gems. The case I am making is, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are full of amazing songs such as "Under the Bridge," "Give It Away" and "Californication," but many people don't bother listening to many of their other songs. In this case, "I Could Have Lied," a song on Blood Sugar that is probably one of Frusciante's greatest guitar creations to date. This is a beautiful song about losing love and how we tend to question ourselves what we should have done to prevent it. This song is so special because it isn't popular and it is rarely perfomed live. The following clip is a live performance from 2003. John Frusciante really shines in this song. This will probably become one of your personal favorities after several listens.
