Love, Hate, Love

Back in 1996, Alice in Chains held one of the greatest concerts in the 90s, MTV Unplugged. But, you could sadly see the singer Layne Staley was high as a kite and looked as if he was struggling with himself. The world knew he was addicted to heroin and he sadly died six years later in 2002. Music suffered a great loss, as Staley was a pioneer of the grunge movement in the 90s and had one of the most amazing voices for a rock star. Here is a clip showing Staley's incredible vocal ability and how much emotion he expressed in each and every one of his songs. It is bone chilling and shows a man torn by drugs, an inner pain and love he struggled with for many years and one that claimed his life.
