The Best Song of All Time Cont...

Number 19: One By Metallica
In 1991 with the Black Album, many fans of Metallica thought they had sold out as their music had become more mainstream. But, after the death of bassist Cliff Burton in 1986, Metallica created their last true Thrash Metal Album "...And Justice for All," and on that album came One; one of the most badass and amazing metal songs on the planet. This song has it all; an awesome intro, incredible lyrics, and a heart pounding breakdown and solo. This song is fast and ferocious and it is amazing. James Hetfield's voice really shines in this one and Kirk Hammett unleashes one of the fastest and best solo's of all time. This was their swan song, as many fans will agree.

Number 18: Nutshell by Alice in Chains
I have written a post about this song and here it is again. This is one of the most heartfealt songs out there, as only Layne Staley can do it. It is so simple, yet so effective. This song has been covered by loads of bands and people. It is depressing, but it is so good that it just makes me cry with both sadness and happiness. Alice in Chains were true genius and this song proved why. Many won't agree with me, but I guarentee that after a while, this song will grow on you.

Number 17: Us And Them By Pink Floyd
Another song found on Dark Side and it is, in my opinion, the best song on that album. If there was one word to desribe this song, it would be GOOSEBUMPS. The lyrics are that of war and they are hauntingly sung by David Gilmour. It is slow, but it will take you into another world. No more words are needed, just listen to it and you will be amazed.

Number 16: Little Wing By Jimi Hendrix
Many fans of Jimi probably will wonder, "why isn't Voodoo Child on here?" While that song is badass, I can't help but notice that Little Wing is so creative and so short and sweet that I had to reward this as Jimi's best song. The guitar intro is amazing, as are the lyrics and the rest of the song. It ends as quickly as it begins, but in those 2 minutes and 45 seconds, you are left stunned. This song is another mark of genius and a guitar masterpiece.

Number 15: Hotel California by The Eagles
Yep, you all know the epic 3 minute solo and the lyrics and just the pure amazement of this song. It is so popular and deserves every bit of credibility. It is amazing. No explanation needed.
